About Owlery
Owlery is an AI-native shipping and logistics platform for growing brands and manufacturers. Our customers are consumer brands, food and beverage companies, and manufacturers that come to us when they've outgrown spreadsheets and broker portals for their freight.
Alongside the platform, customers get an AI Teammate that lives in Slack, Teams, or email and works as an extension of their ops team. Freight in the platform has grown 4x year over year for two years running. We're a small team founded by Uber Freight veterans.
The Role
Most of our inbound comes from partners, whether that's the ERP vendors we integrate with and their channel reps, the implementation consultants who set these systems up for our customers, or independent supply chain and operations consultants who advise growing brands. The integrations are live, we've done co-marketing, and we have real relationships with consultants who send us business.
What we don't have is a system. Those relationships live in the founder's head and inbox, and they get attention when there's time. We think this is the single biggest missed opportunity in the business.
Your job is to turn it into something that runs. You'll own the day-to-day of keeping our partners engaged, informed, and thinking of us so that when one of their clients asks "what do we do about freight?", we're the answer. Your goal is depth and consistency.
What you'll do
- Map what's already working. Understand where our partner-sourced business has come from, so we know who matters most and what a strong relationship looks like.
- Build and own the partner system. Create a record of every partner relationship and keep it current, so nothing lives only in someone's inbox or head.
- Keep partners engaged. Stay in regular, meaningful contact with ERP channel reps, implementation consultants, and independent supply chain consultants, each in the way that fits how they work.
- Give them reasons to talk to us. Work with the founder to turn customer wins, product news, and case studies into things partners find useful.
- Catch and route opportunities. When a partner mentions a client with a freight problem, qualify it and get it to the founder.
- Grow the network over time, through introductions from the partners we already have and finding new partners.
- Report regularly on referrals and what you're learning from the ecosystem.
Who you are
- You've done partner/account management work, ideally in B2B software. You understand that relationships are maintained, not closed.
- Your written English is excellent and warm. You'll be in a lot of inboxes. You need to be the message people actually open.
- You can speak the language of logistics. You understand how freight moves, or you've worked close enough to ops teams to learn fast.
- You're systematic by nature. You'll build the process that doesn't exist yet, and you'll keep it current without being reminded.
- You take initiative. You find a real reason to reach out and make it tangible and valuable.
What success looks like
In your first month, you've learned the partner landscape and the product from the team, been personally introduced to the partners who matter, and have a clear picture of where our partner business actually comes from. You have ideas and suggestions for what we can do to drive more leads from partners and even how to get more partners.
Within three months, our partner relationships run on a system instead of memory. Every partner hears from us regularly, and for a real reason. More partners are sending us business than the handful who do today, and the team has a steady flow of qualified, partner-sourced meetings on his calendar. You're also bringing back what partners are telling you, and it's already shaping how we sell and what we build.
What you get
- Direct working relationship with the founding team
- Ownership of the channel that currently drives the largest share of our business
- Competitive salary benchmarked to your local market
- Real influence: what you hear from partners will directly shape our product and positioning
